Chapter 456 - 455: Variety Show Filming
After finishing the call with Cynthia Young, Bella anxiously packed her luggage and rushed to the airport with Judy Zimmerman. They caught the 4 AM flight to Stellaport and then took the program team’s arranged car to the filming location.
Bella hadn’t slept all night, and she could only catch a bit of sleep on the plane and in the car. By the time she got out at the filming location, she was feeling quite dizzy.
The staff from the director’s team approached her enthusiastically, asking, "Are you Bella, Ms. Acker?"
"Yes, I am." Bella nodded and shook hands with them, saying, "Hello."
"Hello, hello." The staff from the director’s team were very enthusiastic, "Ms. Acker, you’re acquainted with our program, correct?"
"Yes, I’ve gone through the materials provided by the program team on my way here." Bella smiled and said, "You can just call me Bella."
"Alright, Bella, here’s the thing: we’ll need you to get in the car once more in a bit, as we need to shoot a few in-car scenes, and then shots of you walking into the courtyard." The staff explained as they asked, "Bella, did you bring your own makeup artist?"
"No." Bella shook her head. She was still bare-faced and only had Judy Zimmerman with her, unlike other stars who come with their own makeup artist, assistant, and an entourage.
The program team was aware she was a newcomer and had already made arrangements.
"Alright, our program team has a makeup artist on hand. You’ll get made up first, and once that’s done, we’ll start," the staff said, signaling the makeup artist over.
"Thank you," Bella expressed gratitude as she followed the staff into a temporary tent set up for makeup.
Since the pursuit of natural and real looks was essential, her makeup was light and subtle, so it only took a short time.
Once her makeup was done, Bella got back into a car parked by the roadside. The program team’s photographer got in too, and the staff handed over a notebook, saying, "Bella, these are the lines."
"Alright, thank you," Bella said, expressing gratitude and then began memorizing her lines.
The lines were simple, just two exclamations.
"Wow, this place is really beautiful, and the air is so fresh. It’s truly stunning." When saying these lines, she had to open the car window and look outside, acting out a look of excitement from being captivated by the scenery.
However, this was Bella’s first time in the mountains, and the surrounding scenery was indeed beautiful, especially with the winter snow and frost.
The director in front of the monitor, holding a megaphone, asked, "The sun is about to rise. Are the guests ready? If so, we can start."
"Ready," Bella handed the script back to the staff, adjusted herself comfortably, and leaned back in the rear seat.
"Alright, everyone, on your marks: three, two, one, go!"
Shooting began, with staff holding branches sprinting beside the car. From the camera inside the car, it looked as if the car was driving.
Seated in the back seat, Bella turned to look around, her face breaking into a broad smile. "Wow, this place is really beautiful!" She said, opening the window and letting in a blast of cold wind that gave her goosebumps, but she maintained a pleasant smile, gently closed her eyes, and took a deep breath.
"The air is so fresh, it’s truly stunning!"
"Cut! That’s a wrap!" This was one of the simplest scenes, and for Bella, who already had some acting experience, it wasn’t challenging.
