Chapter 404 404: Willo's Changes (1)
Chapter 404 404: Willo's Changes (1)
Outside the town, in a certain forested area.
The Satyr Matriarch of the Green Vines tribe, Willo Green Vines, sat cross-legged in meditation, her breathing even, seeming to merge with nature itself.
She still wore that druid's robe woven from leaves, though now, with the changing seasons, it had transformed from its original fallen-leaf hue to the bright emerald green of fresh spring buds.
After a moment, she slowly opened her eyes, her pupils calm as a lake, containing not a trace of emotion.
More smoothly than she'd anticipated, after returning to the mountains and celebrating the new year, she'd quickly purged the influence of demons and other factors, returning to the ethereal mindset of a druid.
Even more, with this experience, she felt her spellcasting abilities had improved considerably. Though she still couldn't match her prodigiously talented daughter, she was definitely far stronger than last year.
Perhaps next she could consult with her daughter about how to study 5th-level spells.
Thinking this, in her ethereal state, she felt no shame about seeking guidance from her own daughter—her emotions didn't even ripple.
She felt herself increasingly approaching the realm of "Archdruid." As long as she found the right opportunity and mastered 6th-level spells, she would naturally break through.
In the distance, the rustle of footsteps approached. Willo turned her head. Though this was her training ground, she hadn't forbidden others from coming near. As long as they didn't disturb her practice, they could come and go as they pleased.
Then she saw a familiar figure—white-haired, tall and lean, wearing fitted black priest's robes.
It was Charles.
Willo's pupils contracted slightly, and an unusual emotion suddenly surged from within, making desire stir involuntarily in her heart.
But what surprised her was that even though her body naturally responded, she still seemed to remain in the druid's ethereal, untainted state, maintaining her connection to nature.
Why was this?
She didn't understand. Then Charles strode over, showing a warm smile. "Nidalee said you were training here, so I came straight over."
"How've you been? Any problems the tribe can't handle? If so, don't hold back—I don't get to come here often."
Willo naturally stepped forward, taking his arm, feeling desire surge like a tide in her heart. She couldn't help but want to push him down right there, strip his clothes, and mount him vigorously.
Looking at the surroundings—forest, grass, earth, gentle breeze, birdsong...
Such a beautiful environment, so perfect for doing those things... those things everyone loves to do...
Thinking this, she even scared herself. She quickly suppressed these thoughts and said in as calm a tone as possible, "Everything's fine on my end. Most satyrs are naturally gifted at casting spells and stabilizing injuries. As long as no one with ill intent interferes, we manage our lives quite well."
Charles nodded slightly. Looking at her like this, he suddenly felt the person before him seemed somewhat unfamiliar.
But with her holding his arm, which sank deep into the soft fullness of her breasts, feeling her familiar warmth and touch, that strange feeling quickly vanished without a trace.
Mm, she was still the same her—just with a different way of speaking.
Thinking this, Charles continued, "So do you have time lately? There's something I need your help with."
Over the past two days, he'd been busy helping Nidalee handle town affairs—meeting with the half-orc representatives from the Stonefist tribe, calculating supplies to assist the Highmountain tribe, preparing various contingency plans, and so on.
Having finished all that, he finally had time to deal with his own matters.
Next, he needed to enter the Underdark through the mountain paths, so he needed someone familiar with the mountains who was strong enough to serve as a guide.
Originally, Nidalee would have been the best choice, but she'd said Willowwind Town's affairs were too demanding—she couldn't leave. And it was true; there really wasn't a second person who could shoulder the burden. Many matters truly required her decision.
So he had to settle for his second choice and ask Willo.
After all, her personality was rather soft. She often didn't make firm decisions but followed Nidalee's suggestions, so her influence on Willowwind Town's overall management wasn't that significant.
"I should have time." Willo nodded slightly, breathing in his scent. She felt flames burning fiercely in her body, almost bursting out uncontrollably. "Tell me first—what is it?"
So Charles held her arm and, as they walked, explained the whole situation and what he currently needed.
Willo listened quietly. She actually had no real connection with Malena—after all, she'd only stayed at the monastery for a few days, barely acquaintances who knew of each other's existence.
But this didn't prevent her from feeling great sympathy for their family's ordeal after hearing the whole story. "There's such a thing? That fallen angel is truly despicable and should receive proper punishment."
Charles nodded. "So, can you come?"
Willo looked up at him. "I can come along. Since the path's been opened, we'll inevitably have to deal with our underground friends in the future, right?"
"This is a good opportunity for me to map out the current underground maze and compile a reliable map. That way, whatever we do in the future will be more secure."
Seeing her agree so readily, Charles looked down at her emerald-green eyes that had changed with the season, and her pale-pink, slightly moist lips. Affection suddenly welled up, and he couldn't resist lowering his head to kiss her.
Willo appropriately closed her eyes to receive his kiss. Four lips met, then teeth touched.
Charles skillfully pried open her mouth, exploring inside with his tongue, teasing that soft, moist little tongue that exuded a slightly sweet fragrance, indulging in their passionate entanglement...
But just then, a scream suddenly came from behind them. "What are you doing?!"
It was Adele's voice!
Just moments ago, this satyr girl had heard from passersby that Charles had quietly arrived in town, and her heart couldn't help but leap with joy.
But then she heard he'd gone to her mother's usual training spot, and immediately sensed something was terribly wrong.
So she cast a spell, moving at extreme speed through the grass as if flying, rushing here frantically, and then...
What did she see?
Her own mother and that man—they, the two of them...
They were actually kissing!
Good heavens, she'd only been inattentive for a moment, and they'd already started kissing?!
Shock overwhelmed Adele's heart, and she couldn't help but scream, interrupting them.
Then something even more shocking and painful happened: after being interrupted, when the kiss ended, neither of them—especially her mother—separated from Charles as they had the previous times.
Willo openly maintained her posture of holding his arm and turned to her. "We're discussing matters, Adele. Don't be so jumpy—it's not polite."
Hearing her mother's criticism, Adele immediately felt her heart clench painfully.
What kind of matter needs to be discussed with kissing?!
You two, you two...
Ahhh—!
She didn't dare think any deeper. The more she thought, the more her heart ached unbearably.
However, seeing Charles's smiling expression, nameless fire suddenly surged in her heart.
Absolutely cannot let this man be so smug!
Absolutely, absolutely not!
Replaying in her mind how confident and in control he'd been back then, and thinking of her mother's gentle personality and the difficulty of raising her alone, Adele immediately felt tremendous pressure.
But to keep her mother all to herself, this had to be done!
Thinking this, she forced out a smile. "Ah, Priest Charles is our benefactor—I care about his matters too!"
Saying this, she bounced over like a lively fawn to Willo's other side, taking her other arm. "What are you talking about? Tell me too?"
Willo didn't suspect anything and explained Charles's predicament in detail. "So I'm planning to go with him to the Underdark and take the opportunity to verify our map."
Adele's smile faded, and as she looked at Charles, her gaze gradually held understanding.
So that's it—this guy came to find Mother for legitimate business...
Damn it, you think I'll believe such nonsense!
Your main target is clearly her!
Adele gritted her teeth inwardly, but then hung an angelic smile on her face again. "I see! Well then, Mom, let me come along too."
"I won't be much help staying here anyway, and my spellcasting abilities have hit a bottleneck. Maybe if I go to the Underdark and experience the underground environment, I'll have a breakthrough!"
She suggested so enthusiastically. Hearing this, Willo glanced at Charles. "What do you think?"
Charles naturally wouldn't refuse. Looking at this girl who'd actually chosen to walk into the trap herself, he smiled and nodded slightly. "Sure, let's all go together then."
He didn't think this girl could cause any real obstruction. He and Willo were mutually in love, and they'd already been intimate—what did he have to fear?
And Adele, still unaware of his intentions, felt secretly triumphant about her superb acting skills, while at the same time establishing an even firmer resolve in her heart to protect her mother...
