Chapter 61 Moonlight Werewolf
Chapter 61 Moonlight Werewolf
Drake explained, beads of sweat forming on his forehead: "I tried to stop him, but he easily defeated me without killing me."
"This werewolf also said that Blake and his companions were traitors among werewolves, serving humans instead."
Lin Wei narrowed his eyes slightly and said in a cold voice, "Does this werewolf have the cultivation level of a Grand Knight?"
"Probably not. His strength is still at the standard knight level. It's just that he's much stronger than me," Drake said, a look of shame on his face. "And it seems he's still in the city, he hasn't left. But we don't dare to go looking for him."
"Leave this to me. I'll handle it," Lin Wei said calmly, his eyes revealing an unwavering determination.
As long as the enemy isn't at the level of a Grand Knight, things will be easy.
As for finding someone, he has the right mindset and the speed of the operation is sufficient; it shouldn't be difficult to rescue someone.
Lin Wei rushed out again, leaving everyone with only his back view.
In the corner, a little girl with pigtails opened her big eyes and said, "Father, is this Uncle Lin Wei? He looks so fierce, and he won't even drink water."
Ham affectionately ruffled her hair and sighed, "Yes, Lord Linwei held you when you were born. He was the lord your father followed. Lord Linwei has been tireless for over a decade. He treats his subordinates with kindness and exceptional favor."
"Then when I grow up I will follow him, Uncle Lin Wei, Lord Lin Wei, it won't be a hassle to call him that." The little girl pouted, her eyes full of longing.
"Haha, Lord Lin Wei is the best lord in the world. I can rest easy after I die if you can follow him," Ham said with a smile, his face beaming with happiness.
……
"This isn't it." Lin Wei frowned, his eyes quickly scanning the residents passing by.
"This isn't it either." He shook his head slightly and continued searching in the crowd.
"This guy's a thief. Knock him out and have Drake put him in jail." Lin Wei sneered, his figure flashing as he instantly appeared behind the thief. He delivered a chop to the thief's neck, and the thief collapsed limply.
Lin Wei explored the residents by activating the Mind Cube. Sunlight shone on him, casting long shadows. He had enough patience; when werewolves hid, they were no different from ordinary people.
Because of his speed, the commoners only felt something flash past them. Anything can happen on this continent, and as long as they are alive, they are used to it. Only occasionally would someone look up at the afterimage with a look of doubt in their eyes.
Fortune smiled upon Lin Wei.
He found the suspicious individuals in just a few hours.
Lin Wei saw an ordinary-looking resident walking in the alley. Apart from his light steps, he was no different from the others. Lin Wei narrowed his eyes and stared at the person.
Lin Wei stood on a large tree nearby, observing him; the branches swayed gently in the breeze.
Name: Moonlight Werewolf
Attitude: Indifferent
[Thoughts: If I devour a few more werewolf traitors, my strength will increase further, making me no different from a human Grand Knight. And I can begin learning wizarding magic; the future of the werewolf race rests on my shoulders.]
Lin Wei thought to himself, "You Moonlight Werewolf, you want to practice magic? Are you kidding me? I've been practicing a spell so long my mouth is numb from chanting it, and you want to learn magic?" A slight smirk appeared on his lips.
"The werewolf prophet Blake is dead, and there's just one taming slot left. Let's tame this werewolf first; he seems to have good potential, and it'll be a way to avenge him." Lin Wei's eyes hardened.
Lin Wei carefully took out his bow and arrow, replaced the meteorite iron arrows he had previously crafted, drew the bow, aimed at the Moonlight Werewolf, and kept his arm as steady as a mountain.
"These arrows haven't even been tested yet, you got them for free." Lin Wei's lips curled into a cold smile.
Lin Wei's arms were covered in aura, which stretched the newly replaced python tendons to their fullest extent, making his muscles taut, before he released them.
The meteorite arrow flew out with a "whoosh," like a black lightning bolt.
"Great Knight, this is awesome! I could only stretch this python tendon halfway before, but now I can stretch it all the way." Lin Wei swung his arms and looked over with anticipation.
As the Moonlight Werewolf pondered which territory to visit next to devour other werewolves, a chill suddenly ran down his spine.
"What's going on?" The Moonlight Werewolf turned around abruptly, his eyes wide.
As soon as the Moonlight Werewolf turned around, a swift arrow pierced the cool night breeze and shot towards its brow. The werewolf was shocked, its eyes widened, and its fur stood on end. It barely managed to shake itself and avoid the arrow.
The arrow pierced his shoulder with a "thud," spinning and spraying blood. The Moonlight Werewolf's face contorted in pain, his expression turning ferocious, and a low growl escaped his throat.
"This arrow actually pierced my flesh?" The Moonlight Werewolf gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with astonishment.
Before the werewolf could react, a tall, dark figure appeared in front of him, and a huge lion's fist, covered with a faint aura of weaponry, grabbed at him with a strong wind.
"Great Knight?" The Moonlight Werewolf's pupils contracted sharply. It immediately transformed into a werewolf, its fur standing on end in shock, and its body trembling slightly.
"Don't be nervous. You can't escape anyway, so what's there to be nervous about?" Lin Wei said with a playful smile, stopping his lion punch.
He hadn't expected the Moonlight Werewolf to dodge his arrows, and his brow furrowed slightly.
"Who are you? I have no grudge against you, and I do not harm civilians; I only target the werewolves themselves." The Moonlight Werewolf was on high alert, his body tense, as he began to explain, large beads of sweat rolling down his forehead.
"Then I should thank you for killing Blake and several of his werewolf minions for me. You even extracted their blood." Lin Wei crossed his arms, his eyes cold.
"Black, sir, I don't know him... Is there some misunderstanding?" The Moonlight Werewolf stared wide-eyed, looking completely bewildered.
"Oh, he's the werewolf prophet, who calls himself Lord Black Wolf." Lin Wei remembered Blake's original name in a corner and stroked his chin.
The Moonlight Werewolf fell silent, its mouth slightly open, but it didn't utter a word.
"So Black Wolf and his men are your subordinates?"
"Exactly. I didn't wrong you, did I?" Lin Wei's eyes flashed, and he punched it directly in the abdomen. The werewolf's more than four-meter-tall body was sent flying and crashed to the ground with a "bang." It struggled on the ground for a moment, then got up and tried to escape, frantically pawing at the ground with its limbs.
"No, there are too many people here. We can't maneuver properly." Lin Wei flashed forward and quickly caught up, grabbing the Moonlight Werewolf by the back of the neck, hoisting it up, and throwing it directly towards the city wall.
"Boom!" The werewolf was completely powerless to resist, crashing solidly through the city wall and being thrown into the wilderness, raising a cloud of dust.
The soldiers on the city wall felt a sudden tremor beneath their feet and stared at the two enormous objects outside the city as if they had seen a ghost.
