Chapter 233 A Happy Weekend
Chapter 233 A Happy Weekend (Part 1)
"Mmm~ Mmm~ Mmm~"
In the early morning, melodious singing drifted from the Herbology classroom at Hogwarts. Loila, dressed in a brown robe and white undershirt, stood there holding a water jug and humming softly.
Humming that familiar harmonica tune, Loila gently waved her wand, causing the kettle to sway and float up, then fly over the flowerpots.
Today is the weekend, which means no work for Professor Hamilton and allows Loila to do her own thing.
For example, watering flowers.
Don't underestimate these flowerpots; whatever's planted inside has the potential to grow into hundreds of Galleons someday!
Thinking about this made Loira feel much better.
Although I am already quite wealthy, I don't feel anything special about having money.
I can't seem to find any other way to spend money besides magic array materials—I wonder how those rich people spend their money—do they use golden water jugs to water plants?
Loila tilted her head and thought for two seconds. Coming to her senses, she quickly waved her wand to move the watering can away from the rather pitiful pot of flowers.
However, her recent reflections did give her some ideas.
I now have five thousand Galleons in savings, should I think about spending some? But—how should I spend it?
Why not ask Peterson? He's the only pure-blood wizard I know who speaks to me properly.
But it feels a bit rude to ask this kind of question directly—besides, I'm the older cousin, how could an older cousin ask her younger cousin for advice?
Or you could ask the girls yourself? Those real girls?
For example, what things do girls buy when they go out? — Loila thought for a moment and felt that most people probably wouldn't buy things like datura seeds or willow branches.
Unfortunately, Miss Nagini isn't here right now—she didn't get back until very late last night, and she was still fast asleep when Loila left this morning.
It's a little creepy to see someone lying in your bed first thing in the morning.
Loila's ears twitched slightly, and then she controlled her mind to focus her thoughts elsewhere.
I'm currently thinking about a business opportunity worth around 5,000 Galleons—maybe I should contact Luna.
She should be up by now, right?
As Loila hummed softly on her harmonica, she casually wrote on her communication wristband.
Luna's reply arrived just seconds after I typed the words.
"If Royla is free today, let's go to Hogsmeade together!"
Just looking at that sentence, Loila could picture Luna's voice, which sounded like a wind chime.
Listening to this first thing in the morning really lifted my spirits.
Although I'm in a pretty good mood today, since Miss Hilo seems to have stopped bothering me after that duel, is this the legendary case of becoming friends after a fight?
It's the kind of relationship that's often found in Mr. Lockhart's books, where the two people have a mutual respect for each other's rivals—though I'm probably not worthy of being Miss Shiloh's rival, am I?
She's really amazing—not only is her Transfiguration skill incredible, but Roy also heard that she and Professor Snape have been discussing Potions a lot lately.
This is one of the two subjects that Loila is least good at; the other one should be broom class.
Even now, Roy can't ride a broom—after all, she's a bit afraid of heights.
"Hmm~ Hmm~" While humming a song and lost in thought, Loila heard another person's voice.
That was Miss Luna Lovegood, humming along with herself.
"Good morning, Loila," she hummed as she greeted Loila.
"Luna—has Luna heard this song too?" Loila asked, somewhat surprised. Had Luna overheard my conversation with my mother?
Or did you secretly peek into my dream?
"What song is it?" Luna asked, tilting her head. "So Loila is singing?"
"I thought it was just some random humming," she chuckled. "So I hummed along with Loila."
Is that so?
It seems I was just overthinking things.
"Cough cough cough—" Loila coughed a few times and then said, "Then—then let's go to Hogsmeade."
"Mmm." Luna nodded. "It just so happens that the harassing flies on Loila have decreased a lot lately."
Were there many before?
Loila subconsciously scanned the air around her—it has to be said, those invisible mosquitoes are really a nuisance.
However, Luna is right. Loila, disguised as Lora, nodded slightly. Her boots lightly stepped on the fallen maple leaves, and even when students occasionally walked by, she didn't seem so panicked anymore.
I've really changed a lot since then — it's hard to imagine that I would actually go to a place like Hogsmeade with someone else — I used to spend my holidays alone in the tower.
She would occasionally spend time with Muller—thinking of Muller, a slight smile appeared on Loila's face.
If Müller knew what he looked like today, would he be happy?
I think so.
"Loira, what are your Halloween plans?"
"Um?"
If Loila remembers correctly, Luna seemed to have asked her how she was going to spend Christmas before. After asking about Christmas, was she going to ask about Halloween?
That's so Lovegood.
"Should we...should we stay in the office?" Loira thought for a moment and said, "Where is Luna planning to...go?"
"Of course, it's for the Halloween activities." Luna blinked, her clear eyes looking at Loila with a light and innocent gaze. "Loila doesn't know?"
"Don't know what?"
"Halloween activities are really fun!" Luna said, taking a few quick steps before crouching down among some maple leaves to look at them.
Why do they always know about Hogwarts before I do?
Loira shook her head, a little troubled. She was supposed to be a professor at Hogwarts—so—
Let's show some composure as professors and adults today!
As if she had made up her mind, Loila pursed her lips and then clenched her fist.
"Luna—"
"Um?"
"Today—today's expenses at Hogsmeade—I—I'll treat." Loila said, lowering her head slightly, her voice growing softer and softer.
Would Luna refuse me? This is the first time I've ever treated a friend!
I've wanted to do this for a long time! I've read about it in various books, about going out with friends and confidently taking out your wallet to pay the bill.
That's really cool!
If she hadn't been friendless and penniless before, Loila would have given it a try no matter what.
"Are you treating?" Luna paused for a moment upon hearing this, then smiled slightly and walked over to Loila.
Then, to Loila's surprise, she tiptoed slightly and gently pressed her lips to Loila's forehead.
"Huh?! Huh?!"
"Luna?! You—you—you—"
Seeing Loila blushing so much she was practically steaming, Luna blinked: "Of course, it's to thank Loila."
"This is a return gift between friends."
