Chapter 45 Protect the Captain and ask for double monthly votes!
"Let me take down Longbottom!"
Malfoy's roar made the other five Slytherins hesitate.
However, after a brief hesitation, both Parkinson's team and Millison's team chose to support him. Although some of them were unhappy with Malfoy's domineering behavior, no one believed that Malfoy would be unable to handle the seemingly dim-witted Longbottom in a one-on-one match.
"Aren't you from Gryffindor, Longbottom?"
Torturing Longbottom's dignity was a source of amusement for Malfoy. He wasn't in a hurry to kill him, but instead circled Neville on his flying broomstick, a contemptuous smile playing on his lips.
"Where's your courage, Longbottom... Oh, did the Sorting Hat throw you into Gryffindor because of your brainlessness?"
"Don't let him look down on you, Neville!!!"
Ernie, who was in a petrified state, was not unconscious; rather, his existence was temporarily detached from the battlefield, and he could actually see everything happening around him.
Seeing Malfoy wantonly humiliating Neville, Ernie was so angry that his hair stood on end, and he yelled at Neville with all his might.
Unfortunately, because of this damned "death silence" rule, his "encouragement" never reached Neville's ears.
"Don't linger too long, Draco—"
Daphne, who was watching from the sidelines, offered a rather displeased reminder.
"McMillan is about to be resurrected."
"That's no big deal—"
Malfoy, with his nose upturned, said smugly,
"I could kill him again... but, well... are you ready to embarrass yourself, Longbottom?"
"Navie, show some backbone! At least put up a fight!"
Seeing Neville raise his wand with a beaming smile, Ernie roared until his voice was hoarse... and perhaps, Neville did hear some of his voice.
Or perhaps, Malfoy's unreserved sarcasm inspired some of Neville's courage.
Neville, who was trembling like a leaf with his head down, suddenly let out a strange cry, and then... turned and ran away?!
Neville didn't rush towards Malfoy... perhaps out of courtesy, he also didn't try to clash with the three Slytherin ladies, Daphne, Pansy, and Moen. Instead, with his eyes closed and a pained expression on his face, he rode his flying broomstick like a reckless fool, directly crashing into Goyle and Millison!
This sudden change stunned the Slytherins present. For a moment, no one expected that Neville Longbottom, who was as quail-like as a bird, would suddenly turn into a crazed pig-like monster when pushed to the limit.
"Stop him!"
Seeing his hard-won achievement slipping away, Malfoy shouted angrily at Goyle.
However... Malfoy clearly overestimated his henchman's abilities... The rather fearless Neville startled Goyle, causing him to shake violently. He could no longer control his flying broomstick and actually fell straight off!
"You won't get past me, Longbottom!"
Compared to Goyle, Millison seemed more masculine. Her eyes were filled with malice, and ignoring Malfoy's furious shouts, she repeatedly swung her specially made wand, which emitted a red light... and almost all of them hit her. But Neville had his eyes closed, so why would he care about that?
"You—Longbottom—you...stay away from me!"
Seeing Neville charging towards her recklessly with his eyes closed, Millison panicked... Although she looked like a strong man, she was still just a girl who had just over ten years old!
Milison tried to dodge Neville's advance... but the time lost due to the previous attacks had allowed Neville to get closer—
boom!
A loud crash!
Suddenly, one corner of each of the two people's cloaks rolled up, blocking their faces and preventing them from bumping into each other and getting bloodied.
A gentle wave of air softly forced both of them to retreat—
Milison was still reeling from the impact, but Neville ignored it...
Or rather, he was single-mindedly focused on escaping, so as soon as the effect of the shockwave wore off, he didn't linger for a second and immediately rode his flying broom past Milison!
"You let him get away!"
Malfoy, chasing after Neville from behind, hurled red lights at his retreating figure while shouting furiously.
Millison, stunned, raised an eyebrow.
"It's all your own fault, Malfoy!"
"Stop arguing, hurry up and chase after them!"
The other three girls also caught up, and Daphne called out with a cold expression.
........
"We have to go save Neville!"
Ron shouted anxiously at the academy team squad that was being held up by Sabine and Nott.
"There's absolutely no way Neville could stop that many people!"
"I know that without you reminding me, Ron!"
Terry's shouts were filled with exasperation. The two boys kept moving around in mid-air, using the red spell light of their specially made wands to try to force Sabine and Nott to make way and go back to their aid.
However, Sabine and Nott were indeed skilled at piloting their flying brooms. They were able to dodge the red beams with their flying skills and occasionally even managed to interfere with Mandy Brogh... The large, flashing lettering on the cloak behind her read: [Life -3]!
Two hits at most, and Mandy will be finished!
Therefore, Susan had to use her body to cover for Mandy.
"That won't do!"
Susan Borns shouted.
"Of course not, I know we don't have time to waste... Neville could be dead in the next second!"
Terry Boots screamed in despair.
"But they won't let us pass... Mandy, how are you!"
"I'll do it right away—oh, let me think, wrist...that's it, turn clockwise...it'll be perfect in no time!"
Mandy Brohe was almost in tears; she was practically flying over the head of the roaring boar monster.
"You've said 'I'll succeed immediately' eight times already!"
Ron didn't have a good solution either; he couldn't get around Sabine and Nott no matter what.
"Let's try this and see if it works!"
Seeing Mandy get hit again, Susan Burns of Hufflepuff's chubby face flashed with determination and heroism. She gripped the handle of her flying broom, raised it slightly, aimed at Sabine, and a chilling glint flashed in her brown eyes that made Sabine tremble!
"What are you going to do?"
Sabini yelled—and in the next second, he knew what Susan Burns was up to!
Susan Burns unleashed her flying broom with all her might, hurtling straight toward Sabine. Just before they collided, Susan Burns leaped off her broom and grabbed Sabine's arm!
no doubt!
Both of them fell straight down from a height of thirty feet... Of course, the cloaks behind them protected them from injury.
"That's a great idea!"
Terry Boots' eyes lit up, and he set his sights on Theodore Nott.
"Who's going, Ron?"
"No need, Terry!"
Susan's decisive action left Ron speechless, wondering why she hadn't come to Gryffindor. When faced with Terry's suggestion, Ron's mind went blank for a moment before he quickly regained his senses.
"He can't stop the two of us by himself... Charge over and save Neville!"
"But Mandy—"
"I did it!"
Suddenly, Mandy Broglie's excited shouts rang out from behind.
"My tripping spell hit it!"
Ron quickly turned around and saw that the boar monster, which weighed at least several hundred pounds, had been knocked down by a tripping curse and was ramming forward as if out of control... which knocked Mandy Brohe off her flying broomstick because she was flying too low.
[Congratulations to Mandy Broglie for defeating Ravenclaw with a single blow!]
