Chapter 102 Miler trembled.
At the main gate of the Knights of Kanriel's headquarters,
Upon hearing Luo Xiu's reply, the two guards did not relax in the slightest. Instead, their tone became even more forceful as they spoke:
"A bard? What's he doing in the Knights?"
"Looking for someone, sir."
Beneath the raccoon mask, Luo Xiu's smile overlapped with the smile on the mask.
"Who are you looking for? Give me their name."
One of the guards, who was rather muscular, spoke up.
"I want to see Lord Milair."
Luo Xiu spoke up.
"Lord Milair?"
The guard's eyes widened.
He looked Luo Xiu up and down, and said suspiciously:
"you sure?"
After all, Milair's level was too high for them, and the person in front of them seemed to have no chance of knowing Milair based on his attire.
"Yes, Your Excellency."
"Wait here for a moment, I'll go ask."
The guard turned and walked into the Knights' Building.
A few minutes later, he came out again, followed by another person.
It's just not Milair.
Instead, it was a male face that Luo Xiu had never seen before, with azure hair, silver helmet and armor, and a broken right eyebrow.
"Who said they were looking for Lord Milair?"
The man with the broken eyebrow spoke.
"It is I, Your Excellency."
Luo Xiu nodded slightly.
"you?"
The man's gaze swept over Luo Xiu, then a disdainful expression appeared on his face as he spoke:
"Lord Milair is unavailable today."
Not free?
Luo Xiu blinked; he could see the man's disdain for him.
The emotional state revealed by the examination indicates that the man in front of you is lying.
"Then, Your Excellency, I won't look for Lord Miler anymore. I'd like to know if you have anyone here named Leila?"
Luo Xiu spoke up.
He came to the Knights to find out what faction the person behind the afro and bandaged face belonged to, and didn't want to cause any trouble.
"Lady Layla?"
The man's eyes darkened:
"You're here to have some fun, aren't you? If you can't find Lady Miler, just say you're looking for Lady Leila."
Layla...sir?
Luo Xiu's heart stirred. It seemed that Miler had strictly followed his promise and was taking good care of Leila.
He was about to speak.
Suddenly, a youthful voice came from behind:
"Is His Excellency Milair not here today? What a pity."
Luo Xiu turned around and saw two men and a woman walking side by side.
All three were wearing conspicuous college uniforms.
The only woman among them had long black hair and a beautiful face with an extremely cold expression, exuding an aura that kept strangers at bay. A sword hung on her right side, its scabbard pure white.
She stood on the far left of the three.
Opposite her, on the far right of the three was a bald man, tall and with an extremely honest and simple appearance. His expression was just as serious as the woman's.
Between the two was a man with warm brown hair.
He has a youthful face, bright and clear eyes, and a smile that exudes youthful energy and a unique radiance, making him look only eighteen or nineteen years old.
In Luo Xiu's words from his previous life, he was definitely a cute little puppy.
He was the one who just spoke.
Luo Xiu looked at the three of them, his eyes narrowing slightly behind his mask.
Upon closer inspection, all three individuals were emanating a light green glow.
There were actually three fourth-tier beings.
This was the first time he had encountered a fourth-tier opponent since arriving in Kanriel.
My own teacher doesn't count, since the teacher is at level five.
The three ignored Luo Xiu, who was standing on the first step, and went straight up the steps to the man with the broken eyebrow.
"Lord Green, Lady Jovie, Lord Cardo."
The man with the broken eyebrow bowed respectfully to each of the three men.
"Galia, is Lord Milair not here today?"
The brown-haired boy, called Grimm by the boy with the broken eyebrow, spoke up:
“I specially brought her some pastries from her favorite dessert shop on St. Louis Street; it would be a shame if she weren’t here.”
"No, no, no, Lord Green, Lord Milair is here."
The man with the broken eyebrow waved his hands repeatedly.
His expression revealed a hint of embarrassment:
"However, Lord Milair is indeed very busy today..."
As soon as he finished speaking, the brown-haired boy smiled.
His smile was bright and radiant:
“You lie, Gallia, that’s not a good habit.”
As Green finished speaking, the air pressure seemed to drop a few degrees.
The man with the broken eyebrow swallowed hard.
He nervously wiped the sweat from his forehead.
This is the headquarters of the Knights Order. Logically speaking, he shouldn't be afraid. After all, if the boy in front of him were to attack him, someone in the Knights Order would definitely stand up for him.
The Knights of Kanriel are fiercely protective of their own, regardless of who you are.
But Green's methods are different from others.
If you really anger Green, he might just die inexplicably one day while walking down the street.
They couldn't even pinpoint the killer.
After all, Green was known as the "Master of Misfortune" and was the most talented student in the Sorcerer Academy in recent decades.
He had been kept out of the public eye until a few months ago when he broke through to the fourth rank at the age of less than 20, at which point he became known to the people of Kanriel.
Thinking of this, he composed himself and said:
"Well then, Lord Green, I'll ask Lord Milair for you."
Green nodded slightly in acknowledgment.
The man with the broken eyebrow breathed a sigh of relief and walked into the building.
He jogged to the door of a room, checked his clothes to make sure they were in order, then stood up respectfully and knocked on the door.
"Lord Miler, I am Gallia."
"come in."
Milair's voice came from inside the door.
Gallia pushed open the door and entered. Milair was behind her desk looking at a roll of parchment. In front of her, rolls of parchment like this were piled up into a small mountain.
"What is it, Gallia?"
Milair spoke without looking up.
"It's like this, Lord Milair... Lord Grin... he's here again."
After pausing twice, Gallia finally finished speaking.
After all, Milair had instructed him beforehand that if Green came looking for him, he should say he was busy.
"here we go again?"
Milair frowned slightly:
“I remember telling you this, Gallia.”
“Yes, but Lord Milair, you also know Lord Green’s methods… so…”
Gallia's voice grew softer and softer.
Milair sighed:
