Chapter 199 Forces Peter Pettigrew Out
Chapter 199 Forces Peter Pettigrew Out
“But we need to wait a moment. We need to tell Harry why.” Remus Lupin handed his wand to Sirius Black.
“I know why, you betrayed my parents, you killed them,” Harry said to Sirius Black, heartbroken.
“No, Harry, it’s not him,” Remus Lupin explained to Harry.
“Indeed, someone betrayed your parents, and we always thought he was dead,” Remus Lupin continued to explain to Harry.
"Who is it?" Harry asked angrily.
"Peter Pettigrew, he's in this house right now! Come out, Peter, come out and play!" Sirius Black called out loudly.
Just then, Severus appeared at the door.
"Remove your weapon." Without Sirius Black noticing, Severus removed Remus Lupin's wand from his hand.
I wasn't in a hurry, so I strolled along, standing behind Severus.
“Revenge tastes good. I’ve been looking forward to teaching you a lesson myself,” Severus said with pleasure.
Seeing Severus like this, I couldn't help but smile. He's just too adorable!
“Severus.” Remus Lupin was about to explain something when Severus pointed his wand at him and walked toward Sirius Black.
“I told Dumbledore you were helping an old friend sneak into Hogwarts, but he didn’t believe me. Now, the evidence is irrefutable,” Severus said to Remus Lupin and Sirius Black.
"You're something else, Snape, but your clever brain is still wrong. Excuse me, Remus and I have important business to attend to." Sirius Black still wanted to confuse Severus and leave with Remus Lupin openly. What kind of thought process was that?
“Give me a reason.” Severus wasn’t stupid; his wand remained pointed at Sirius Black.
“Severus, don’t be foolish.” Remus Lupin tried to stop Severus from making a move.
"When has he ever not been stupid?" Sirius Black was held to the spot by the wand and dared not move, but his mouth was still particularly arrogant.
“Don’t speak,” Severus said, looking at Lupin.
“Shut up, Remus,” Sirius Black also coaxed Lupin.
So the only one who was hurt was Remus Lupin's world.
“Look at you two, bickering like an old couple.” Remus Lupin wasn’t one to back down either.
However, I didn't really like hearing that. Standing in the shadows watching them argue, I gave Remus Lupin a meaningful look.
Remus Lupin suddenly felt a chill, as if he were being stared at.
"You should go back to playing with your chemistry equipment," Sirius Black said arrogantly, even with Severus pressing his hand against his throat.
"Don't think I won't make a move. The Dementors outside miss you terribly. There seems to be a hint of fear in their eyes. A Dementor's kiss... the feeling is unimaginable. Everyone says the scene is too gruesome to watch, but I still want to see it all." Severus would only be so patient with Sirius Black and the others.
"Severus, don't do this." Sirius Black was genuinely scared this time.
At that moment, Harry wrapped his arm around Hermione's waist, secretly intending to take out Hermione's wand.
Standing in the shadows, I could see Harry's movements the whole time, and I figured it was time for me to make my entrance.
"You go first." Severus hadn't noticed Harry's little trick yet, still arguing with Sirius Black.
Severus winked at Harry, urging him to come along, but unexpectedly, Harry picked up Hermione's wand and used 'Expelliarmus' on himself.
'Protect Me'—my spell was a little faster than Harry's, and it protected Severus.
Severus stared wide-eyed at Harry in disbelief, while Sirius Black and Remus Lupin also looked toward a shadowy spot behind Severus.
"Harry, what are you doing?" Ron looked at Harry in surprise.
"Harry has outmaneuvered the professor." Hermione was also surprised that Harry would do this.
“I want to know about Peter.” Harry looked stubbornly at Severus, then at Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.
Then Severus silently retreated to the only entrance to the house, while I remained in the shadows watching the farce unfold; it was not my time to reveal myself.
“He was our classmate back then, and we thought he was a friend.”
Sirius Black muttered to himself.
"And then? He's dead. You killed him, didn't you?" Harry said angrily.
“I thought so too, but you said you saw him on the map,” Remus Lupin suddenly interjected.
“The map is lying,” Harry said.
“Maps never lie. Little Pettigrew isn’t dead; he’s right there.” Sirius Black pointed towards Ron.
"Me? Are you crazy?" Ron was speechless when he saw Sirius Black pointing at him.
"Not you, it's the rat in your hand." Sirius Black pointed at the rat in Ron's hand.
“Banban stayed at our house…” Ron suddenly couldn’t speak.
"More than 12 years, right? Can a mouse live that long? Is he missing a finger?" Sirius Black became more and more excited as he spoke.
"So what?" Ron couldn't accept it; this was his pet, Banban, whom he had raised for a long time.
“We only found one of his fingers,” Remus Lupin said.
"That coward cut off his own finger, pretended to be dead, and then transformed into a rat," Sirius Black said excitedly.
“Prove it to me.” Harry pointed his wand at Sirius Black, who glanced at Harry and then snatched the Stigmata from Ron’s hand.
"What are you trying to do?" Ron refused to let Sirius Black steal Scabbers.
“Give it to him, Ron.” Harry wondered if they were telling the truth.
"Scabbers, let him go! What are you going to do to it?" Ron tried to go over, but Hermione grabbed him.
Scabbers, who had been caught by Sirius Black, was being held by the neck. Remus Lupin picked up the two wands that had just been knocked away from the ground, kept one for himself, and handed the other to Sirius Black, pointing it at Ron's rat, Scabbers.
Sirius Black put the mouse down, and he and Remus Lupin cast a spell on the running mouse. Finally, Scabbers, driven to desperation, ran into a hole, got stuck, and turned back into Peter Pettigrew.
Remus Lupin and Sirius Black pulled Peter Pettigrew out of the hole and threw him into the middle of the room, where everyone stared in astonishment.
“Remus, Sirius, old buddies,” Peter Pettigrew said to Remus Lupin and Sirius Black, feigning delight.
