Chapter 28 Yunzhi's Room
Chapter 28 Yunzhi's Room
The jump happened almost instantly; the train jolted violently as if it had hit something.
Then the blue light faded, and everything returned to calm.
The leap has ended.
Xing looked around blankly.
Leap...it's simpler than I thought.
Xing thought so.
The train has smoothly entered the tracks and is moving along the ancient rails. The vast space is distant and deep, and when Xing looks out, he can't help but feel a little scared.
She withdrew her gaze from the universe and turned her head.
As expected, March 7th fell down, but thankfully not badly, and happily ran to find Pam for juice.
Danheng went to another carriage, while Yunzhi, holding her head, leaned against the sofa and seemed to have fallen asleep again.
Xing decided to go find the train conductor and ask him about the train's story.
We went without hesitation.
Xing looked around and quickly found the small figure.
Pam was standing in front of the gramophone, seemingly pondering what kind of music to play.
Seemingly suffering from decision paralysis and torn between two options, Pam suddenly noticed Yunzhi resting with his eyes closed. After thinking it over once more, she changed the music to gentle, soothing music suitable for relaxation.
The train conductor truly deserves to be called the best nanny.
The thought popped into Xing's head, and she quickly dismissed it, lest she accidentally say it and anger Pam.
She ran up to Pam and asked him where her fellow passengers' rooms were on the train.
Pam didn't think there was anything wrong with it.
Pam was used to her fellow passengers on the train frequently visiting each other.
Apart from Danheng, who wanted to put his bed in the think tank, everyone else had their own room, and Yunzhi was probably the most disciplined among them.
He goes to the think tank whenever he wants, but he generally doesn't go to other people's rooms.
Himeko asked him if he wasn't curious about their room.
Yunzhi only said that she was not very willing to enter other people's private space.
It wasn't explicitly stated, but it was enough for them to understand.
Unwilling to enter someone else's private space = Unwilling for others to enter his/her private space.
So, after his room was thoroughly cleaned up, the train crew wouldn't go into his room unless necessary. Even if they wanted to find him, they would have to knock on the door first and wait for his reply.
If he doesn't answer, he's either sleeping or not there at all, so there's no need to keep waiting at the door.
It has now become an unspoken rule among the train crew.
However, this rule is about to be broken today.
Because Xing got on the bus.
Pam told Star to go and explore the train by herself.
Then, Hoshi visited the think tank and March 7's room, but she couldn't enter Mr. Walter and Himeko's room.
Finally, she stood in front of Yunzhi's room.
Shall we go in?
Two options seemed to pop into Xing's mind.
1. I've seen them all, so don't favor one over the other.
2. Let's forget about it.
That's right, we shouldn't favor one over the other.
Xing silently encouraged herself, took a deep breath, and then boldly opened the door to the room.
What comes into view is a bedroom with a blue-green theme, just like Yunzhi's hair color.
It gives you a refreshing feeling for no apparent reason.
Xing went inside.
Hmm... Yunzhi's desk, Yunzhi's bookshelf, Yunzhi's bed, the bay window in Yunzhi's room...
Xing blinked and decided to take them one at a time.
First is Yunzhi's bookshelf.
It's not that Xing is particularly obsessed with studying, but rather that Yunzhi's room... the bookshelf is just too conspicuous.
Yunzhi's bookshelf seemed to have all kinds of books—of course, the bookshelf was also very tall, and quite...thick.
Xing looked up, trying to see the top of the bookshelf.
Then I discovered that this bookshelf, which occupied an entire wall, was not only blocking my way on both sides, but also stood tall and solid.
Xing leaned closer to take a look.
The books are indeed very diverse: philosophy and ethics, education and culture, art, law, economics and history... even biology, medicine, chemistry, astronomy... What is this? Divination? Or astrological divination?
Why would Yunzhi look at these things on the Star Train that travels through the sea of stars?
And how does Yunzhi get those books that are placed at the very top?
As Xing pondered this, the image of Yunzhi's warhorse came to mind.
—Zhan Ma Lie: Guess why I'm so tall?
Amused by her own thoughts, Xing quickly retracted this bizarre idea.
Yunzhi can actually fly on its own with the help of the messenger; it's not that complicated.
but......
Xing's eyes were dazzled by so many books, so she randomly picked one out.
Less than a minute later, feeling dizzy and lightheaded, I put it back.
—There aren't many notes in the book, but it must have been quite a challenge for her, a newborn star core baby.
It's not that I don't like studying, it's just that seeing so many books gives me a sense of fear.
Xing silently shifted her gaze away from the bookshelf.
Opposite that suffocating bookshelf...
It's Yunzhi's desk and bed.
There was a screen in front of the bed, between the door and the bed, so that people wouldn't see the bed as soon as they entered. It was placed against the wall. It was slightly different from the one on March 7th. Yunzhi's bed was very tidy. The pillows and quilts were folded neatly, and there wasn't a single wrinkle on the bed. Xing suspected that Yunzhi might not have slept in the bed at all. He might have slept with the warhorse at night.
(Lie: There's absolutely no need for that.)
Yunzhi's desk was equally clean and tidy, with several books neatly arranged, and a pretty little lamp flickering with blue light.
Next to the desk, there was a bookshelf.
So many books... so many books.
The stars' eyes turned into mosquito coils.
Well, although it can't compare to Danheng's think tank, Yunzhi's room is truly... an ocean of knowledge.
Perhaps Yun should be the messenger of wisdom, not the messenger of the hunt?
cough cough.
Xing chuckled at her own thoughts, turned around, and left the room.
Hmm... I didn't make the room dirty or messy, so it should be fine, right?
I'll tell Yunzhi later.
Before this, Pam had said she had prepared a room for her...
Xing closed the door and ran excitedly to see the room Pam had prepared for her.
