Chapter 30: A Three-Way Battle, Escape!
Chapter 30: A Three-Way Battle, Escape!
The New World, Beehive Island.
In the captain's cabin, which is decorated in white and gold, Dieter's gold-embroidered boots are propped up on the table, and he holds a glass of red wine in his right hand.
Beehive Island, this is his old lair. He had taken over the island many years ago, long before Rocks conquered it.
Rocks attacked the island several times, but all his attacks failed.
Unlike before, under Dilt's rule, this is not a pirate island infested with villains, but a wealthy country where pirates can legally enter without being wanted.
No one dared to cause trouble here, because no one dared to bear his wrath.
With the trade routes opened up by countless pirates, the residents here enjoy a high quality of life.
Therefore, despite being heavily smeared by the World Government, all pirates and even people all over the world still refer to the sea area centered on Beehive Island and bounded by other territories of Dalt as "Heaven".
Looking down at the bustling street scene, Joan of Arc couldn't help but exclaim, "I never imagined that my Master would be such a wise ruler."
It's worth mentioning that the huge skull that used to be in the center of the island has long been sculpted by the residents into a six-winged angel.
Dilt took a sip of his wine and shook his head slightly: "The governance is all done by the king elected by the people; I'm just a figurehead."
Suddenly, Dieter's hand paused slightly.
In "World Watch," the scene of the three forces chasing Blackbeard comes into view.
He slowly placed the wine glass back on the table, and a golden light shone brightly in his eyes.
"That's quite a scene. Do you think you can escape this crisis...? I don't want to work overtime to save you, son of Lox..."
An unnamed deserted island near the Sabaody Archipelago.
The terrifying mental shock was still tormenting everyone, with wails and roars echoing throughout the sea.
Akainu was the first to react; his body trembled violently as the scene from just moments ago kept replaying in his mind.
"Damn it... what was that just now... the ability of a Heroic Spirit to control people's minds?"
The Heroic Spirits were indeed not to be underestimated! This further strengthened his resolve to obtain information about the Holy Grail War and participate in the war.
"Damn it! Don't even think about escaping!" Akainu's roar was like an eruption of lava.
Having recovered from the mental shock, he reacted the fastest, his giant lava fist slamming down with the force to incinerate everything towards the cave entrance where Teach and the Earl had disappeared.
Boom!!!
The raging lava flow crashed against the collapsed rocks, creating a deafening roar!
The rock melted instantly, revealing a larger, deeper, more complex, dark cave entrance filled with sulfur and moisture.
The scorching heatwave swept out, pulling the nearby naval soldiers out of their terrifying nightmare.
"Chase him! Squads one and two, seal off all possible exits! We cannot allow him to escape into the deep sea!"
He gave Big Mom and Kaido's men a fierce look.
"The rest of you, stop these pirates!"
Akainu gave a stern order, and magma began to boil around him. Before the marines even reached the shore, he took the lead.
Like an angry demon from hell, he stepped into the scalding, dark cave without hesitation!
The intense light was instantly swallowed by darkness.
"Ugh!" Katakuri woke up as if from a nightmare, clutching his head as he got up from the ground.
He was filled with lingering fear and horror.
What immense power... If this had continued any longer, everyone present would probably have suffered a mental breakdown.
With such immense power, how could the Holy Grail War summon 14 of them?
In that case, participating in the war becomes a necessary action! Otherwise, we will fall behind others.
"Tsk... I got beaten to it." Katakuri's eyes were cold as he forcefully suppressed the chaotic thoughts in his mind.
The fragments of the future he envisioned became increasingly blurred, filled with the distractions of lava, darkness, and conflict. But the goal could not be abandoned!
"Breeze, open the mirror passage in this cave!" he ordered in a deep voice.
A huge mirror instantly appeared in front of him, its surface rippling like water, trying to reflect the scene inside the cave.
But one area was dark, and the image flickered.
"Cracker! Wake up! Use the biscuit soldiers to scout ahead! Candy Maids, set up the slime trap! Everyone else, follow me in!" Katakuri calmly commanded.
Charlotte's troops, like a well-trained army, followed him into the mirrored passage and teleported directly into the depths of the cave.
Jack snapped out of his daze and shook his head violently, creating gusts of wind.
"Damn it! What happened? Did I have a nightmare during the day? By the way, where did that guy Jhin go? Never mind him, blow that hole open for me!!"
Jack charged up and instantly leaped across ten miles of ocean to the island.
The furious roar shook the entire island. The massive scimitar cleaved wildly through the collapsing rubble, like a human battering ram!
The Mammoth's cannons also turned around and began to bombard the mountains near the cave entrance!
"Men! Charge in! Drag that black man and his 'monster' out! Whoever finds them first will be richly rewarded!"
Soon the Mammoth docked with the navy's warships.
The Gifters of the Beasts Pirates roared like wild beasts, brandishing their weapons, and surged towards the dust-filled cave entrance like a tidal wave, creating utter chaos.
Akainu's second-in-command swiftly jumped off the warship and slashed down the Gifter who was running the fastest.
"Everyone, stop the Beasts Pirates! Don't let them interfere with Admiral Akainu!"
Jack whirled around, his curved blade slashing fiercely, a powerful strike cutting through the air.
"Damn Navy! Die! I don't have time to waste here with you!"
The adjutant was so terrified by the slash that he rolled away with all his might to dodge it.
However, the warship behind him was not so lucky; it was instantly cleaved open, and seawater rushed in.
"We're sinking! Quick! Abandon ship!"
Seeing this, Jack smiled smugly.
He ignored the navy's movements and turned to rush into the cave, which trembled and seemed on the verge of collapse.
Deep inside the cave, a limping figure dared not stop for even a moment.
The icy, bone-chilling groundwater dripped onto his charred skin, causing a stinging pain, but also clearing his mind somewhat from the shock of his injuries.
He clutched his chest, each breath pulling at the skin burned by Karna, causing him to grimace in pain.
"Zehahaha...cough cough..." The black-bearded man laughed hoarsely as he moved forward, his eyes gleaming with the joy of surviving a disaster.
"It must have been that old bastard Whitebeard who spread the word! These bastards are all after me! Hahaha! I'm really famous now!"
"Foolish clamor... Let's be quiet on the road to 'The Count of Monte Cristo'." The count's voice carried a hint of barely perceptible annoyance.
"We can't get entangled with a mad dog here..."
Teach licked his chapped lips, his eyes burning with even greater greed.
"Of course I know! But these mad dogs are chasing us too closely! Can your Noble Phantasm still be used?"
He glanced back at the tremors and faint red light emanating from behind him, along with the deafening roar of a wild beast.
"Your strength is already depleted; if you exert yourself any longer, you will die from exhaustion," the count said arrogantly.
"You'd better find a boat and get away from this troublesome place."
"Boats? Thieves! Hahaha! Their ships are everywhere outside!" A fierce glint flashed in Teach's eyes.
"But...who says we have to use a boat?" A crazy plan instantly formed in his mind.
"Earl, help me 'check' which road leads to the northern cliff the fastest! The waves are the biggest there, their ships can't get too close!"
The count remained silent for a moment, his scarlet pupils gleaming in the shadows.
"The third fork in the road from the left. There's an underground river downstream; following it leads to the north cliff..."
