Chapter 137 Reencounter with Smoker!

Picking up where we left off, after several days of travel, Goten finally arrived in Alabasta. Looking at the endless desert, Goten was glad that he had stored up a lot of fresh water and food in advance.

In order to find out which direction the rain was in, Goten decided to go to a restaurant or other places where he could get information. Goten randomly chose a restaurant that looked good and went straight in. As soon as he entered, Goten saw a man with a white beard and a cross skull symbol on his back.

However, Wutian was too lazy to think too much about it and went directly to the person's side to ask the restaurant owner, "Hey, boss, do you know how to get to Yudi?"

As Goten continued walking out, before he even stepped out of the restaurant, a familiar figure appeared at the entrance. Upon seeing him, Goten exclaimed in shock, "Marine Lieutenant—Smoker! What are you doing here? Are you here to hunt us down? Damn it, take this!"

Smoker had only wanted to find a restaurant to ask for information, but he hadn't expected such luck. So, just as Goten was about to unleash his skill, he decisively struck, binding Goten with a cloud of smoke, and exclaimed, "What an unexpected surprise! I just wanted to randomly find a restaurant to ask for information, but I didn't expect to run into the Straw Hat crew..."

Goten was captured, but in an attempt to break free, he decisively channeled his Kamehameha energy into his legs and unleashed it at Smoker, successfully escaping. This also woke the man who had been sleeping. Goten landed and was about to charge out of the restaurant when, just as he stepped out the door, a gluttonous creature yelled, "Food!" and launched itself at him, knocking away Smoker, who had just recovered, Goten, who had just stepped out the door, and the man who had just woken up...

Smoker, realizing what was happening, quickly transformed into his elemental form and chased after Goten and Luffy. The sleeping man, having learned Luffy's identity, also gave chase. This action left Zoro and the others speechless, but they could only quickly pack their things and run to avoid being caught…

As they ran, Smoker caught up again. Goten, seeing that Smoker was using smoke as a propulsion device, yelled, "Damn it, if you're so capable, chase me with your feet!" Smoker immediately retorted, "Mind your own business! You mere pirates shouldn't be telling the Marines what to do!"

However, before the other party could reply, Luffy spoke up directly: "Ace! You've come here too?"

Ace leaped in front of Luffy and teased, "Long time no see, Luffy. Honestly, you've gotten yourself into so much trouble the moment we meet. You really haven't changed at all..."

Ace looked at Goten and immediately said, "Hey, kid, you're my brother's partner, right? You take him first, I'll catch up later..."

Upon hearing this, Goten immediately grabbed Luffy's clothes and dragged him away, saying gratefully, "Thank you for your help, Brother Ace. Well then, I won't be polite!" With that, Goten dragged Luffy away without looking back...

After Ace saw Goten off, he immediately activated his Devil Fruit power and engaged Smoker in battle. He skillfully used the Flame-Flame Fruit to unleash flashy and dazzling fire techniques, fighting Smoker, who also possessed the Logia-type Smoke-Smoke Fruit, to a standstill...

Hearing Goten's words, Nami and the others were also surprised. However, Vivi retorted, "No, we're going to Yuba, where the rebels are, to tell them the truth and make them stop..."
