Chapter 6 Proud and Naive
Chapter 6 Proud and Naive
"trade?"
Upon seeing the two children descend from the sky, Dr. Brief's eyes flashed with surprise. However, upon hearing Rhodes's adult-like words, he immediately lowered his guard, chuckled, and reached out to pat Rhodes's head, speaking softly:
"Whose children are you? If there's really going to be a collaboration, you should probably call your parents over!"
Damn! Doctor, you've gone too far!
Rhodes' face turned red immediately after Dr. Brief patted his head.
Although he had the body of a seven-year-old, after awakening his memories, he had the mental age of a thirty-year-old. Being treated like a child almost made him lose his temper on the spot.
"Our mom and dad are dead."
As if by some strange twist of fate, Rod answered Dr. Brief's question without thinking.
Upon hearing that Rhodes and his son's parents had passed away, Dr. Brief's smile faltered, and she looked apologetically at them. She gently patted Rhodes's head and looked at them with tender eyes: "I'm so sorry, children!"
"Rhodes, what's the use of this Earthling? If he's useless, I'll kill him!"
Seeing the two chatting idly, Ella couldn't stand it anymore. She started to gather an energy blast in her hand, determined to kill this somewhat unreliable human from Earth.
Seeing Ella causing trouble, Rhode quickly restrained her and dispersed the energy blasts in her hands, not wanting things to get any worse.
"This little girl has a rather fiery temper; girls should be more ladylike!"
Little did Dr. Brief, who was teetering on the brink of death, leisurely took a drag of his cigarette and commented on Ella's displeased expression, completely unaware that Ella was not joking or being mischievous, but genuinely wanted to kill him.
Seeing Dr. Brief's nonchalant attitude, Rhodes felt a headache coming on. After thinking for a moment, he said with a serious expression, "Dr. Brief, it's like this, we come from outer space, not from Earth. We're here to make a deal with you, Doctor. We want you to help us create a device that can freely adjust the gravity."
"A gravity chamber? Really? I've never studied this before; this is quite a challenge for me!"
After Rhodes finished speaking, Dr. Brief, a scientist, paid no attention to the identities of the two men. Instead, he focused on the science and technology involved in building the gravity chamber. Clearly, he was more interested in the science and technology than in their origins.
"Sorry, child, my interest in technology has gone a little too far!"
The next moment, realizing his focus had strayed a bit, Dr. Brief turned his attention back to the two men, took a couple of puffs of his cigarette, looked them over, and asked curiously, "By the way, are you really aliens who came here specifically to have me build a gravity chamber?"
"good!"
Seeing that the conversation was back on track, Rod smiled gently and nodded seriously.
"Are all people in the universe like you, never growing up?"
Looking at the mature, stable, and articulate Rhodes, Dr. Brief's curiosity about the unknown filled him with a thirst for knowledge.
"Ahem, Doctor, it's not that we're immature, it's just that we're actually young. However, that doesn't hinder our transaction!"
Responding to Dr. Brief's burning curiosity, Rhodes patiently corrected his thinking, taking out a combat strength detector from his personal belongings and handing it to him: "This is a combat strength detector, a technological product used in the universe to detect the strength of life. It's a gift I'm giving to the doctor as a token of our friendship."
"A combat capability detector?"
Upon hearing that it was a technological product from outer space, Dr. Brief's eyes lit up, and he eagerly took it in his hands to examine it.
"Didi didi"
Dr. Brief took the detector, examined it, and pointed it at himself. A series of beeps followed, and his combat strength appeared on the screen. Looking at the data, he was somewhat excited: "My combat strength is only five points?"
With that, Dr. Brief pointed the detector at Rhodes: "May I check your life force?"
Please feel free to do as you please.
Faced with this small request, Rod readily agreed, waving his hand without any hesitation.
"Didi didi"
"Wow, you aliens are so strong! You're just a child, yet your fighting power is the same as mine!"
The detector buzzed and measured Rhodes' combat strength. Dr. Brief was very surprised and exclaimed repeatedly.
"Hmph! Who's like you? Listen up, we are the Saiyans, a warrior race from the universe. We are born strong, and we are worlds apart from you weaklings from Earth!"
Ella, standing to the side, was furious to see Dr. Brief equating Rhodes, a Saiyan, with someone as weak as herself.
As a proud Saiyan, Ella considered Dr. Brief, no, these weak Earthlings, to be utterly unworthy of being compared to her. It was a tremendous humiliation for her!
"Ella, I think you don't need to say anything."
As Ella's insulting words fell, Rhodes immediately gave her a cold look, his eyes filled with warning.
"Oh? Are you Saiyans very powerful? Girl, can I test your fighting strength?"
Dr. Brief ignored Ella's somewhat insulting words and instead stared intently at her, wanting to know just how strong the so-called Saiyans really were.
"Hmph! Watch closely, you weak Earthlings!"
Ella ignored Rhodes' warning, snorted, and then shouted, clenching her fists, bowing her head, and unleashing her full fighting power.
Ella's energy erupted in full force, overturning everything around her and even causing atmospheric turbulence, generating violent winds that damaged the surrounding buildings.
In other words, she deliberately avoided Dr. Brief; otherwise, the doctor, an ordinary person, would have been blown away somewhere long ago by the impact of this violent aura.
"Wow, that's impressive!"
Dr. Brief, standing to the side, held the detector and stared at the display screen, watching the combat power rapidly increase and break through four digits in the blink of an eye, his face filled with shock.
"A whopping 2648! No wonder they're called the 'fighting nation'!"
Upon seeing the final data, Dr. Brief sincerely praised Ella.
"Of course!"
Faced with Dr. Brief's sincere praise, Ella's cool little face was filled with pride and self-satisfaction.
What an innocent guy!
Seeing Ella effortlessly reveal her full strength without realizing any problems, and instead being proud of it, Rhode was speechless.
Looking at Dr. Brief, who was smiling and coaxing Ella, the little tiger, into becoming a docile donkey, he couldn't help but think to himself: This kind of top scientist is not only incredibly intelligent, but also full of cunning, even his hair is hollow.
Those people must have sensed it, right?
With Ella unleashing her power so recklessly, it's likely that martial artists on Earth, as well as the immortals and gods on Kalin Tower, have noticed this.
However, it's all good. Before, only a few people knew that the spaceship had entered Earth. Now, it can be considered that it has officially greeted the powerful people on Earth.
With their combined strength, they could roam freely on Earth without any worries about safety.
"Honey, what happened? Are you alright?"
Ella calmed down, and after everything had calmed down, a sweet-looking woman with short blonde hair rushed over anxiously, carrying a little girl, and asked Dr. Brief with concern.
