......
Stark Industries.
Following the demolition of the Stark Tower in Manhattan, New York City, Pepper has recently been busy doing things there that weren't being monitored.
She was chatting about work with her new security chief, Harby, when her secretary approached and said, "Ms. Potts, your guest is waiting in your office."
"Thank you, I understand!"
Pepper Potts replied with a smile, but Happick asked the secretary warily, "Have you checked on this guest? He's not a dangerous person, is he?"
"Happy! You're worrying too much. I've worked with him before, there won't be any problems!"
Without explaining anything further to the 300-pound hobbit, Pepper went into her office.
However, this person's eyes were no longer those of the hunchbacked, downcast man from thirteen years ago, but those of a successful man in a suit.
"Hey, you... Killian, for God's sake, I almost didn't recognize you!"
Pepper was a little surprised. She smiled kindly and asked, "It's been so many years. What have you been up to all this time?"
Killian smiled and shook hands with Pepper, then very gentlemanly invited her to sit down.
"Ms. Potts, you're still as beautiful as ever... I'm here today with a project worth several hundred million dollars that I'd like to collaborate on. I wonder if you'd be interested?"
Chapter 329 A Certain Virus
"A project worth hundreds of millions, that's a huge sum. I wonder what it is exactly?" Pepper didn't notice the oddity in the other person's smile, but he asked very seriously.
Killian smiled. "You should know that the president has always banned unethical biological research, but my think tank has finally made a breakthrough and come up with an idea called the Jedi Virus..."
Next, Killian-Jieper demonstrates the biological potential of the Jedi virus.
Because the two were behaving too intimately, the security chief outside the door, Habib, began to reprimand Tony.
When the name Adrian Killian was mentioned, Tony couldn't recall anything about him, but Happy brought up an event from 1999 at a scientific press conference in Switzerland.
The only thing Tony remembered about that scientific launch was that he had his eye on a blond botanist.
To lure "963" into bed, Tony even helped her complete related research, which I think involved some kind of virus.
"Sir, James Roddy is here to see us."
Jarvis's voice came through, giving Tony an excuse to finally hang up the phone.
In fact, he didn't even want to worry too much about the company; with Pepper by his side, he could leave everything to her and just continue studying his battle armor.
"Harby, I have something very important to do right now, I have to hang up."
Tony hung up the phone, making Harby as uneasy as a 300-pound baby.
He had been Tony's bodyguard for nearly twenty years and had always been his friend. Now, with the aliens coming to New York, he had become his friend.
The whole world has changed.
Tony no longer needs a private bodyguard, and he spends his days with friends who also have superpowers, making it difficult for them to see him.
"Since you're not on the ship, I'll definitely check..."
Gapia’s security chief’s gaze fell on a man traveling with Edrich Killian, who, for some reason, always seemed ruthlessly out of place to Gapia.
......
War Machine James Rhodes, or as we would call him today, the Iron Patriot.
He landed directly on the balcony of Tony's villa in his Iron Man suit, then unzipped the suit and Roddy walked out and headed towards the laboratory on the basement level.
"Tony, I need to ask you something... Oh, is this your new combat suit?"
Roddy went to the basement and saw a person wearing a brand-new steel combat suit, although there was a problem with the connection between the arm and part of the chest armor.
Dr. Banner was also there, helping to fine-tune the new combat suit.
Dr. Banner also recognized James Roddy; the American government hadn't been promoting the Iron Patriots much in recent days.
"Hello, I'm Bruce Banner. It's a pleasure to meet you, Iron Patriot!"
"Wow, Dr. Banner, I've heard so much about you!"
Roddy, being a soldier, naturally knew that Banner was the Hulk. While shaking hands with Banner, Roddy seemed somewhat nervous, as if afraid that the Hulk might suddenly appear and kill him. "Dr. Banner, what are you doing here?"
A voice came from the stairs answering a question, not Bruce Banner.
"Dr. Banner was invited by me to help me with some research."
It was indeed Tony Stark coming down the stairs. Seeing Tony at the top of the stairs, Roddy looked at the man in the Iron Man suit with a puzzled expression.
"Tony, that guy in the Iron Man suit is...."
With a loud bang, the mask of the steel combat suit disappeared rapidly, revealing the person inside.
"Oh my god, you're that...man in black from the Battle of New York!"
Please call me Xu Fu.
"Yes, Mr. Xu Fu, I didn't expect it to be you!"
Facing Bruce Banner, Roddy became even more nervous. He hadn't turned into the Hulk yet, so Roddy just needed to avoid provoking his opponent.
However, look at Xu Fu's face.
The special police and the military shared Xu Fu's information.
Thor and the Hulk were once listed as the top threat.
Xu Fu's appearance immediately overwhelmed the two of them.
Following the Battle of New York, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s intelligence department and the armed forces' research department conducted extensive research on Xu Fu's data.
As a result, the government was unable to destroy the enemy, and even when they sent more troops, they could not control Xu Fu.
Unless nuclear weapons are used.
Whether a nuclear bomb could destroy Xu Fu is something the military is unsure about.
"Xu Fu, every hero has a nickname. What's yours? God of Forced Punishment?" Tony didn't ask about the Iron Man suit because he knew progress wouldn't be significant in the short term.
Nanoscale energy devices are a major problem, but Xu Fu's combat suit does not contain any energy devices, so things will be relatively easier.
“I told you a long time ago that my nickname is Avenger.”
"You can't take my comic book and call yourself a hero of the DC Universe. I admit you look alike, but it's just a comic book!"
Xu Fu wanted to say that, to me, you were once just a cartoon character.
"So you found a universe where superhumans exist, because those are your lair?"
He helped Xu Fu repair the time alarm device, but the original time ripple signal could no longer be recognized.
There are two explanations for this phenomenon.
First, this spacetime becomes even more non-existent. Even if the spacetime ripples are fixed there, they cannot be reached. Opening this path will only lead to emptiness.
The second scenario is that when a change in the timeline of a given spacetime is detected, it will cause a change in the original spacetime pulsation.
In short, Xu Fu must use phase deviation to compare at least two thousand parallel universes in order to find his way home.
Tony estimates that the calculation process will take no more than a year and a half, otherwise it will never be recovered.
"Actually, Superman is my brother. I was kicked out of the time tunnel by that unreliable bastard Flash!"
When asked about his original 0.8 universe, Xu Fu was puzzled.
Hearing Xu Fu's exclamation, Roddy looked puzzled, Banner thought it was only natural, and only Tony patted Xu Fu on the shoulder. "Dude, read less comic books. I think I'm not the only one with anxiety lately, you're a megalomaniac too. You really think you're a comic book character, haha..."
Amid Tony's pitiful sigh, Roddy coughed slightly and interjected with a comment.
"Um... excuse me, Tony, I wanted to ask you if there's a type of bomb that doesn't need a detonator, or rather, where the detonator disappears after the explosion."
"No detonator needed?"
Tony was intrigued by Roddy's question and thought for a moment. "Unless it's an unstable bomb, a detonator is needed, but I don't understand why the detonator would be removed after the explosion. It doesn't increase the power of the explosion; it weakens it instead!"
Chapter 330 Terrorist Attack
"Why are you asking about detonators? Do they have any special function? Or am I misunderstanding something?"
Tony thought for a while but couldn't come up with any useful conclusions, so he asked a question instead.
Roddy shrugged, giving him a "you're not kidding" look. "Come on, don't tell me you haven't been watching the news lately?"
"News? What news?" Tony had no idea what Roddy was talking about.
Lately, he's either been researching Rubik's Cubes and space data, or developing the next generation of steel combat suits.
He hasn't even left home since the Battle of New York, until now.
Dr. Banner seemed to understand the incident Roddy was referring to.
"I think he's referring to the recent...three bombing attacks...."
"To be precise, it's nine times. People only know there have been three, but in reality, it's been nine times!"
Roddy corrected Dr. Banner, explaining, "This was supposed to be classified, but... nine explosions, no one could find the trigger, there were no traces of bombs at the scene, and the police didn't know anything!"
