Chapter 773 The Regrets
Chapter 773 The Regrets
"I- It was all a prank? You played around with our lives for a single gold coin?!!" Zira stumbled back, her face pale.
"Ah Haha yeah, don't mind it miss Zira, my big brother is a little stupid. Don't worry, I will punish him for you." Itch said, as he held Raldy's ear and dragged him away.
Within moments, the two flew away, not caring about any of them.
The public was also going crazy, all that was just a joke?
"L- Lord Art? What about those dragons then?" someone in the crowd asked.
"COUGH That must have been an illusion then, we were all caught in the illusion. Don't worry though, I will punish them properly."
Vritra lingered around a bit longer, getting as many Sin Points as possible.
But soon, only a few Sin Points were pouring, the emotional fluctuations of everyone in the crowd had stabilized.
There was no point in keeping them all here.
"Time to leave everyone, go back!" Vritra said, with a clap all the people who were from Yate Realm were teleported back.
The others who had come from nearby were teleported away.
Now only Vritra, his wives, Onest, Zira and her four kids remained.
'Hmm Where did Bullo go?' Vritra wondered as he looked around, he called out in his mind to try to chat with the Divine.
But it was useless.
Divine won't reply, so this avatar really can't talk or was there a reason for not talking now?
Zira was just standing there in a daze, her mind buzzing violently, she couldn't believe anything at this moment.
"L- Lord Art, am I dreaming?" Zira turned to look at Vritra, her vision was blurry.
She stumbled and her sons quickly stepped forward to help her.
"No, this is not a dream. Anyway you have now divorced your husband, whatever happens now is your own choice." Vritra replied with a shrug.
She turned to look at Onest, instantly her eyes were filled with tears as she spoke: "Honey, SOB p- please forgive me, I still love you and only you.
I never wanted to separate from you, if that bald bastard hadn't forced me, hadn't threatened me, I would never have divorced you.
I want to spend my entire life with you, let's marry again, and this time without any contract!"
Zira looked at him hopefully, then gestured at her kids.
"Daddy, I am sorrryyyy, I was so afraid of that bald demon, I thought he was going to kill you so I said all that."
"Yes Dad, we love only you and none else could take the place of my dad!"
"Fadah, my lovely fadah!! Please, I am ya son!"
All of them spoke hurriedly, the four sons fell to their knees and began to cry, apologizing for their mistakes.
"My lovely family, I never doubted you..." Onest spread his arms as he looked at the five of them, a calm loving smile on his face.
"My wife, my sons, I knew you would never backstab me-" while speaking, Onest suddenly covered his mouth.
PFFTT...
His shoulders were shaking as he tried his best to hold back his laugh, in the end, he couldn't hold it.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
He burst out with such loud laughter that startled the five, they stared at him in shock.
Was he so happy to have them back? Just as they thought, he is a fool and a simp, even if they throw shit at him, he would crawl back to them and lick their feet.
"You stupid bastards hahaha look at your expressions, you look so stupid haha oof I am gonna cry, this is too funny." Onest said, wiping the imaginary tears.
They had noticed that something was wrong, Onest wasn't acting like usual.
Wasn't he so much in love with Zira earlier? Didn't he show his love for his sons just earlier?
Didn't he appear broken when they were divorced?
What is happening? Did he go mad by the impact of that divorce and the betrayal.
"Daddy, are you alright? It is us, why are you laughing like that, you are scaring mommy."
"M- My Fadah, it is me your lovely son, don't you love me? Don't you want to embrace me, my one and only fadah?" the fourth son asked, appearing heartbroken.
"Ptui As if I would embrace this stinking brat, you shitty bastard, let me tell you, I never once considered you my son. Fuck off! Kekeke." Onest said, laughing even louder.
Hmm, that sounded familiar, the fourth son wondered.
Finally, Onest couldn't pretend anymore, he was finally free, free from these wretches.
"You bitch Zira and you four sons of bitches, I am finally free of you all and it was all planned hahaha how does that feel? Did you like getting tricked?" Onest had been so angry at them.
He wouldn't be trying to marry anyone for a long time, not just that, he even felt that couples are evil creatures.
He wanted to break other couples too, how great would it be to free other people of the misery of their relations.
Onest glanced at Vritra, a strange look in his eyes.
On the side, Vritra who was just watching the end drama noticed Onest's sudden strange look.
He frowned and muttered: "Don't even think about it, I will skin you alive."
"Oh haha I didn't think anything, your relations are the most perfect in the world, why would I think of breaking them?" Onest laughed awkwardly, while wondering did he read his mind or something?
"O- Onest, I love you-" Zira was speaking, looking so sad as if her world was breaking apart.
"Enough of your act bitch, do you think I am a fool? A simp? I may have fallen for your trick once, if I want I can kill you with a snap of my finger but no, I won't do that." Onest shook his head.
"I am going to leave the five of you in a place where there is no food and water, no living organism around. There, you would starve, maybe even eat each other, you will feel so much despair." Onest had a smile on his face.
But right now, the five of them were so scared that they knelt and began to beg.
Zira regretted her decision, she shouldn't have divorced him, no- she should never have tried to trick him.
If only she was honest and really loved him, she knew his love was real, but she had sabotaged herself.
Zira cried and felt so much regret that she pulled her hair with all her might, tearing her skin apart, she seemed to have gone crazy.
Onest was surprised, he looked at the woman who really had lost her mind.
Then he looked at her four sons who had peed themselves and were crying like anything.
He sighed, Onest really felt like such a fool, he really had fallen for her and couldn't bring himself to hurt her as he had said.
But seeing her current state, she was already broken enough.
But he wasn't going to forgive those four bastards, he asked Vritra to send them away, to the place he had promised.
Amidst the loud cries, the four young men disappeared and were sent to a place where they would find nothing.
That was the last straw, and Zira finally went crazy.
She should have let her sons work on their own, she should have just started a good new life with Onest.
They would have been so happy, but she had broken it all herself.
She wanted to take advantage of him and was afraid he would leave her too.
She was the stupid one, insincere and a bitch, if only she had made the right choice.
Maybe her sons would have grown to be better humans and she would have lived a fulfilling life.
But there were no more ifs, everything was done and time couldn't be turned back.
The seven women who stood some distance away sighed.
Yennefer especially, she could sense the regret of this woman, she herself had made a mistake and almost lost Vritra.
It was such a bad feeling, she never wanted to go through that again.
After taking a long look at Zira, she looked up at the sky, it was already getting close to evening.
This whole drama had taken a lot of time, but the end had brought back some unpleasant memories for her.
She raised her hand, as if trying to touch the sky.
The sky was slightly dark, the sun had set and the moon had risen.
Just as Yennefer was about to pull her hand back, her fingers brushed past something and ripples passed through the air.
No, not air but the darkness or rather the night sky.
She was surprised, but upon trying again nothing happened.
'What was that?' she thought, looking at her fingers curiously.
At the tip of her fingers, she saw faint shadows that slowly dissolved into the air, it was as if she had stolen some darkness from the sky itself.
For a moment she thought she had hallucinated, but it clearly was not the case.
This only gave her questions and Yennefer was unable to understand any of it.
She was dazed as she stared at her fingers and jolted back to her senses as she felt a tap on her shoulder.
"Oh uh? What happened?" she looked up and saw that it was Teresa who had tapped.
"We are leaving... did something happen?" Teresa asked quizzically, tilting her head.
"It's... nothing, I was just thinking of something." Yennefer replied as she lowered her hands, she decided to discuss it later with others.
Or maybe it really was a hallucination?
