Chapter 519 - 493: Wedding Day (Part 8)

Simon Forrester noticed this and, quickly ahead of Sienna Thornton, said, "Thank you, Mom and Dad," and the next second, he pulled Sienna Thornton over to the relatives. The matchmaker followed them, soon loudly calling out other matters.

The scene was full of Forrester family relatives. Seeing the newlyweds heading to greet the relatives, attention immediately shifted towards the matchmaker and the couple, fearing they’d be called up next for greetings, and failed to notice Sienna Thornton hadn’t changed the way she addressed Zane Forrester.

Zane Forrester certainly noticed and glanced sideways at Sylvia Langley. Sylvia Langley spoke on behalf of Sienna Thornton, explaining, "Jules just called over someone and pulled her away; Annie might also be nervous, lacking direction and just followed along."

Zane Forrester wasn’t too pleased but said nothing.

Next, the newlyweds greeted and served tea to all the Forrester family elders, from Bianca Fordham and her husband to Old Master Forrester’s other cousins and relatives. Anyone senior to Simon Forrester, they greeted and served tea to, changing how they addressed them one by one.

Many Sienna Thornton hadn’t even met, and even though she’d serve tea and call them by their honorifics today, she might not recognize them on the street later. But tradition is what it is, so they had to greet them one by one until afternoon, which marked the end of the greeting ceremony.

During the greeting ceremony, the restaurant, banquet hall, even interior and exterior courtyards had been set up with banquets, just waiting for the ceremony to end so all the guests could eat.

After the ceremony, the bridesmaids and stylists followed Sienna Thornton back to the room to touch up her makeup, while the groom led the groomsmen and the men to greet relatives and friends and organize the lunch banquet.

Red bead curtains hung at the entrance of the East Wing, with dragon and phoenix symbols attached above.

Two bridesmaids opened the bead curtain while one helped the bride into the new room.

The new room was Simon Forrester’s original bedroom, converted with the original furniture unchanged, except the bedspread had been replaced with bright red, and the duvet adorned with rose petals in a heart shape. The headboard boasted plush cat dolls matching the main wedding car.

The furniture bore ’double happiness’ signs, and red table lamps sat on the nightstands, with some customary wedding gifts and red roses placed on the table.

The entire atmosphere was very festive.

Once inside, Sienna Thornton sat on the footstool for rest, waiting for the stylist to touch up her makeup.

The three bridesmaids were exhausted from the morning’s work, also resting on the sofa.

Looking at Simon Forrester’s understated vintage room, Aurora Buckley smiled: "I thought a man like Chairman Forrester would live in a model home with black, white, and gray, giving a high-end feel, but instead, it’s such a grounded room."

Sienna Thornton laughed, "The Forrester family is quite traditional and sentimental, so they still live in this courtyard house."

Wendy Jacobs remarked, "Traditional and sentimental values are good. It means once they identify someone, they truly commit."

Aurora Buckley added, "No wonder before dating Sienna, Chairman Forrester hadn’t even had a girlfriend. Once he started dating her, it was for three years, definitely planning to be together forever."

Sienna Thornton smiled quietly, saying nothing.

The stylist prepping makeup products had been watching the excitement around the old residence during the greeting ceremony, accidentally hearing today’s groom is the chairman of Forrester Group. She was aware that Maeve’s best friend’s husband was a huge billionaire, not just a wealthy building designer.

Thus, upon hearing the bridesmaids admiring Simon Forrester’s level, she couldn’t imagine someone of his caliber having his first romance lead to marriage.

.

Sienna Thornton finished touching up her makeup, Simon Forrester came in holding several red envelopes, handing one to each of the three bridesmaids and two stylists with a humble "Thank you."

Everyone felt bashful, repeatedly declining.

The bridesmaids claimed to have received large envelopes from Harrison Rowe, while the stylists said they got envelopes from the bride’s father that morning.

Simon Forrester insisted, smiling, "For good luck," and eventually, everyone bashfully accepted.

After giving out envelopes, Simon Forrester went to Sienna Thornton, standing behind her, bending over the mirror to see her already retouched look, softly asking, "Got up early and exhausted you, didn’t it?"

Sienna Thornton smiled at his reflection, "Not really."

He leaned to kiss her cheek, whispering, "After we head out, eat a bit more, then we can nap and rest before the evening festivities."

Blushing, she coyly replied, "You’re so busy, yet still thinking of that..."

Simon Forrester paused, realizing with a laugh as he touched her earlobe gently, "I meant the wedding dinner. What were you thinking? Hmm?"

She felt immensely embarrassed, looking down and ignoring him.

The pair whispered sweetly, while the stylist and bridesmaids in the small sitting room watched enviously.

Aurora Buckley, candidly, admired, "Even after three years, they’re so in love! How do they manage it? When I dated guys before, the passion faded in less than three months..."

Rochelle Linwood laughed, "Annie can be both enticing and endearing, both cute and ethereal; with such a personality, they’ll still be loving in fifty years."

Wendy Jacobs eagerly nodded, "No wonder a groomsman called Chairman Forrester ’frosty old tree blossoms’; actually our big sister got the frosty old tree to blossom..."

Aurora Buckley mused, "Really, looks decide if you can be with someone, personality decides how long you stay together."

"Exactly..."

While the three bridesmaids chatted quietly, Simon Forrester comforted the bride and left the room.

Once gone, Wendy Jacobs opened Simon Forrester’s envelope exclaiming "A thousand dollars!"

The two stylists quickly peeked inside, finding the same bundle of bank-sealed hundred-dollar bills.

Aurora Buckley glanced at the other two bridesmaids, observing, "Chairman Forrester is so generous!"

The bridesmaids, having received huge envelopes from Harrison Rowe earlier, exchanged knowing smiles.

Later, Simon Forrester returned with Harrison Rowe.

Harrison Rowe, feeling thrilled having been praised and awarded a bonus by Simon Forrester that morning, warmly smiled, "Ladies, you’ve been working hard, go out and eat something good, I’ll take you to the hotel later."

With that, the bridesmaids hastily brought along the bride, but Harrison Rowe quickly said, "Let’s not bother the ladies with the bride. The groom can take care of her here."

Amused, the bridesmaids, clutching their little purses, cheerfully left with Harrison Rowe, along with the stylists.

Simon Forrester closed the door, approached Sienna Thornton, and without a word, bent down to embrace her.

Wrapped suddenly in his arms, her back pressed against the dressing table’s edge. Her slightly upturned face was quickly kissed.

Her small hands pushed against Simon Forrester’s chest, whispering, "What are you doing? They might come in."

Simon Forrester laughed, "Who dares come in besides me?"
